Mortens Eve, which takes place on November 10, is a night when many Danes gather around the table to enjoy a traditional dinner with duck. According to the story, Saint Morten hid among the geese to avoid becoming a bishop, but the geese gave him away, which led to why today we celebrate Mortens Eve with duck as the main course.
